Native American Voices

Heritage, geography and work in the former audience account.

The former Native American Voices page described a numerically smaller audience with strong cultural identification and heritage. It stressed that Native American people were not a single group. Its examples named Cherokee as the largest tribe in the data it used and discussed populations in the West, South and Alaska.

Geography and family work

The old page placed about half of Native Americans in western states in its period data, with a substantial share in the South. It also discussed two-worker and dual-earner households. These observations were presented as reasons marketers should understand where and how people live rather than use one nationwide portrait.

Skills and employment

The account named precision production, craft and repair, administrative support, and service work among occupational areas. It connected consumer understanding to the wider question of opportunity in the workforce.

The statistics and categories belong to the former site edition. Tribal identity, community and individual preference need their own current, direct evidence; a historic market summary cannot provide them. Return to Leading Voices for the wider collection.
